Safely Home-A Prayer
Tribute to our troops in the field and here at home. May God bless them and the sacrifice they are making!
We would like to say to ALL... MILITARY MOTHERS PAST AND PRESENT: Whether you join Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., and our chapter or not: YOU ARE BLUE STAR MOTHERS, Thank you. It is Your Childs Service to Our Great Nation that gives you that title and honor.  You join with Military Mothers Past and Present to support each other through all stages of military life but more importantly to Support our Children and  our Veterans. Having said this it is now our privilege to introduce you to the North Central Blue Star Mothers of Indiana.  We are a Military Mothers Support Group that welcomes everyone, family members as well as friends that may be in need of someone to talk to or a project to help keep you busy.  We strive to provide both of those things and more in our group.  Our chapter formed in September 2007 and to date have sent out over 1100 Care Packages to troops both stateside and overseas.  We are always accepting new members as well as Service Personnel names and addresses for Care Packages, a birthday card or even just a note from home reminding them how much they are loved and missed while away from home.  We very strongly believe in the rules regarding Operational Security (OPSEC) and unless given permission by the family we do not share any information on our list and when given permission it is only to groups that understand the security rules.

If you have any questions about us, please fill in the comment form and we will be happy to answer your questions, if we don’t have an answer we will try to find one for you or send you in the correct direction.

Our Servicemen, Our Heroes
Our Servicemen are Heroes to me
They fight in order for us to be free
Our fathers and mothers have gone before
They defended our Country by going to war.

Our Servicemen fight us for freedom each day
Some loose their lives; it's a high price to pay
They fight for our country, for me and for you
They fight for our children, our grandchildren too.

Unless we find a better way
To stop the terrorists, and the games they play
To guarantee we're safe in our land
Our Servicemen continue to fight in the sand.

Our dream is to have them all home again
For our Country to be safe for every man
In the meantime, we know Freedom isn't free
Thanks to our Servicemen - you're Heroes to me.

The Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs departments created the National Resource Directory -- located at http://www.nationalresourcedirectory.gov/ -- to link wounded warriors, service members, veterans, their families and caregivers to nationwide resources that support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration.
